AFTER-HOURS EMERGENCIES
We offer after-hours emergency appointments in hospital only. It is often unsafe for our veterinary team to travel to, examine, and treat a sick/injured horse after hours due to a poor visibility at night, lack of facilities, fatigue etc. Our veterinary also has a responsibility to care for the patients we already have in hospital.
For these reasons, after-hours emergency appointments (nights, weekends, public holidays) are seen at the hospital.
WHAT IF YOUR HORSE IS DOWN?
True down horses that cannot get up and no other equine veterinarian can attend will be assessed on a case-by-case basis for on-farm attendance after-hours. Please contact our on-call veterinarian on (02) 4927 6135 so they can assess the situation.
